Getting ready for baby

We've all been busy preparing for the arrival of owl baby Wade!
Yip trying on a 0-3 month outfit... she barely fit.

As chill as can be in the sling.

Is this weird that we torture our cats like this? Nah, I say - just maybe weird that we share it with others.

23 february 2012 sonogram

You're either really lucky or I'm getting really good at procrastinating with my school work because you get an update the day of the sonogram this time!

The sonographer gave us lots of pictures but you'll notice they're getting a bit hard to make out - they were on the machine too. As baby grows things are getting more cramped and its getting more difficult for her to get all the measurements at each appt., but everything looks good with how the little owl is growing.

2 pictures of the face and 1 of the profile. You can see the fleshy part of the cheeks is starting to fill in.

Baby weighed in at 3 lbs., 5 ounces today and should be app. 11 inches head to rump or over 15.5 inches head to toe.

And the big news today - baby has hair!

New update coming soon

Be on the lookout for a new update soon. We have another sono and doctor appointment tomorrow morning so hopefully I'll have some time to report any news before I get too busy with school work for the rest of the week. We should see lots of growth from last month to this month as baby adds fat and mama's belly keeps growing. We had a newborn safety/CPR class last night so we are fully prepared for infant CPR and choking situations - call us if you need us!

25 january 2012 sonogram

We had a 26 week sonogram last week. Everything is growing in proportion and baby is measuring in the 30th percentile, but that's fine - everybody grows at a different rate in the womb. The doctor said that means that we're not on track for a 9 lb. baby but instead a 6.5 or 7 lb. baby. Baby weighed in at 1 lb., 13 ounces and is approximately 9.3 inches head to rump.

It seems that since we're not interested in the gender we keep getting really similar sono pictures to take home, but they're neat to compare with the previous ones to see how baby is growing.
