Matching Buddies and One Month Picture

Nico weighed in at 7 lbs., 4 oz. this morning! She gained about 9 ounces since last Monday morning so that's great - they like to see about an ounce a day but a minimum of 4 to 5 ounces a week, so we're growing good. We can tell that she has gotten longer but we'll have to wait until our next pediatrician appointment to get an official length.

Daddy and Nico had on their matching red, white, and blues on Sunday.

Tried as I might, I couldn't really get a great picture of her on her 1-month birthday, but at least I got a few.

The dress is really cute but you just can't see much of it with the gigantic onesie sticker that covered her entire torso. She'll be 5 weeks tomorrow (Tuesday).

One Month Old!

We've made it a month! I can't believe the time has flown by this quickly.

This won't be her official photo shoot (we'll do that later with Daddy) but here's a glimpse of what's been happening lately. I think she may be going through a growth spurt because she's been quite fussy and hungry. But thats ok, she sure is cute!

Going for a Walk

 

We all went for our first official walk this afternoon in Nico's snazzy stroller. If it seems like a long time not to take a newborn on a walk, it has been - but for good reason. She was sent home from the hospital in a car bed and was released by her pediatrician to use a regular car seat yesterday on her 4-week birthday. Because of this we haven't been able to use a swing, rocker, or any other device that keeps the baby at an incline similar to that of a car seat. Here's hoping she takes to the swing right away and can rock herself to sleep!

Let's hope that her reaction to using the car seat in the car tomorrow will be better than when we tried it out this morning!

Four Weeks Old

Nico and I had a good long nap today to celebrate her 4 week old birthday. She's still a super snuggler!

Daddy's Little Lady

We were aiming for open eyes but the flash was too bright.

We'll try and get some more and new pictures to post soon - things here have been good and Diana is continuing to heal well and can almost get out of bed without cringing because of the incision. Nico sleeps quite well through the night already and only wakes once or twice to eat but we've got to work on being able to sleep independently.

First Bath and Two Weeks Old

Nico got her first full (submerged) bath with Grandma tonight.

She's 2 weeks old today and her due date is tomorrow, which seems bizarre since so much has happened in the last two weeks. I'm happy to be healing well and feel better each day.

Nico weighed in at 6lbs. 1oz. at her checkup today. Grow, baby, grow!
