Six Years

I have this picture above my desk and look at it every day. It has held more meaning since Nico's birth and I often wonder if he loved me as much as Jason and I love Nico. (Impossible I presume, since we love her the most of course.)

This weekend marks six years exactly, as the dates line up this year. I'm on an emotional roller coaster but we got some nice reminders tonight of how beautiful life is, and of God's promise, with a nice sunset to the west and a full rainbow to the east. Rainbows after storms... Oh how we know that all too well. I miss you every day, Dad. Happy Father's Day. 

Adventure Awaits

This summer I (Diana) will be headed to Malawi, Africa with a team from our church home in Orlando! We'll be in Malawi for two weeks and then when the mission trip is over and the team heads back to the U.S., I'll be heading down to South Africa to meet Nicole (working there for 2015) and we will spend a week exploring. I am incredibly excited for this opportunity and excited for a little overseas adventure. The focus of the mission trip is to work with children with special needs and their families. Our church partners with Children of the Nations, which has long-lasting relationships in the communities. I mailed out support letters the other day and I would of course love for you to partner with me on this journey (funds donated will only be used for the mission trip expenses). More info is in your letter, coming your way soon! And if you don't receive a letter that means I don't have your address... Send it to me ;-)

We spent Friday with Grammy, Saturday with Mommy, and Sunday with Nana. What a fun Mother's Day weekend!

Happy 3rd Birthday

Nico's birthday was April 17, and her super fun and fabulous Peppa Pig Pirate Pool Party was the next day. She had a blast saying hi to all her friends, swimming in the pool, and being the hostess with the mostess.

Merry Christmas!

We've had a great time celebrating Christmas this week! Nico definitely "gets" that Christmas is about baby Jesus and gifts, but definitely doesn't get the Santa thing yet - and we're ok with that! She has loved driving around and looking at Christmas lights and opening a small present and book each day for advent. I wonder how soon she'll figure out that Christmas doesn't last forever :)
